Lac Vieux Desert, known for its record Musky, is nestled in Wisconsin's Northwoods and the Nicolet National Forest.

Our northern Wisconsin resort gives our guests access to outdoor activities galore throughout the year. We offer lodging and accommodations to suit all your needs.

For those of you who enjoy winter vacations, we have immediate access to local snowmobile trails which run literally for hundreds of miles, local access to cross country ski trails and for those of you who enjoy ice fishing the lake is just a short walk from your cabin.


Snowmobiles and Waverunners are available for rent on the premises.

	For those of you interested in a summer vacation, Lac Vieux Desert offers great fishing. We have 150 feet of level sandy beach for children and you children at heart, Pontoon Boat Rental, and each cabin comes with a 15 foot aluminum fishing boat (motors rented for a nominal fee). For those looking for an off season get away, the Spring and Fall seasons also offer a great chance to fish, see the fall colors, go hunting or just get some rest and relaxation. Rochelle & I are going on our 8th Summer Season since we bought Thunder Bay back in 2001. Were happy to say that we've invested over a Million Dollars into Thunder Bay in the 8 years we've been here. Were not done yet. NEW Free WI-FI is now available here at Thunder Bay! We know the economy is kind of rough right now so we came with a few specials that might make it a little easier to come up to Thunder Bay this summer. If you come to Thunder Bay within 1 week of making your reservation, your Cabin is 50% off the weekly rate. If you tell somebody about Thunder Bay & they come spend a week with us, you'll receive a $150.00 Thunder Bay Gift Certificate you can apply towards your next weekly stay. If you come up to Thunder Bay between May thru August twice, you 3rd stay is FREE. Also if you pay by Cash or Check, you'll receive a 5% discount on your bill. So try to come & spend a week with us or even just a couple of day's. We still have Cabins available for the 4th of July Holiday Week. Come see the Thunder Bay Fireworks show on Saturday July 4th.
